Hachi truly embodies the spirit of loyalty and friendship and even now as I think about this I feel myself getting moved. They were mixed tears of both joy and sadness. His full name is Hachiko and the movie is based on a true story that took place in Japan during the 1920’s going into the 1930’s. One such movie that my family recently watched on Netflix was called “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.” It stars Richard Gere, Joan Allen, and of course the Akita who plays Hachi. Seeing animals take on adventures by themselves or as a sidekick to a person is for the most part good family entertainment. Even if you are not really an animal lover these types of movies usually make you feel good after watching them. Whether it be a real animal or a fictitious animated one these movies make me laugh and sometimes cry. Just completely avoid it.When I think about all of the movies I have ever watched, several of my most enjoyable experiences have been when the movie has an animal as one of the stars. However, as I said I’m only halfway through so I don’t know if it changes at all and takes a slightly more adult path with the romance. It’s has a more mature tone than sone of the cheesier romances but in a good way.
